Verbling is an online language platform that connects learners with teachers for private video lessons. Verbling's teach page says teachers set their own hourly rates and can teach from anywhere with a computer and internet access. Previous experience teaching the target language is required. A formal teaching certificate is preferred, and Verbling says candidates without a certificate or verifiable teaching experience are not accepted. Native-speaker status is not required, but teachers need a C2 command of the language they teach.
Lessons use Verbling's own video classroom. The teach page says teachers need a laptop or desktop with a camera and microphone, the Google Chrome browser, and a strong internet connection. Earnings can be cashed out through PayPal, Wise, Payoneer, or Verbling Credit, and new earnings unlock every Sunday or Monday depending on the teacher's time zone.
